Workarounds are the artifacts of consumer problem solving. They are around us each day and reveal important information about the real needs of people consuming mass-produced products, systems, and services. The mission of this site is to inspire product developers to open their eyes to the opportunities already around them.
Founder and Principal of Blink Interactive, a Seattle based user experience consulting firm. My professional interests include understanding end-users and translating this understanding into targeted design recommendations. Prior to founding Blink in the year 2000, I had been working in the field of user-centered design for eight years, helping companies such as Netscape, Monsanto, Times Mirror, Whirlpool, WRQ, Nokia and Drugstore.com create solid user experiences. I hold a Master of Design degree, specializing in Human-Centered Design, from the Institute of Design at the Illinois Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Design degree from Arizona State University.
I spend as much time as i can with my wife and two daughters on Bainbrdge Island Washington.
